I really appreciate the salmon sampler sushi - they have 4 different kinds of salmon, and it's interesting to try them all side by side. Everything is fresh and tasty, cool vibe but not too loud, prices a little high but not crazy. I dig it.

The appetizers and sushi rolls are delicious! I got a lychee martini and I loved it but definitely very sweet. Our food came pretty quickly for a busy night and our waitress was very helpful. The only thing we didn't like was being sat at the bar corner because it was narrow and my boyfriend kept getting bumped or had to keep leaning forward when anyone walked past.

This is my go-to sushi spot in Bellevue, and I've been coming here monthly for the past year. I thought it was time to finally write a review! The parking is always easy, thanks to a convenient garage with free validation, and the elevator takes you straight up to the restaurant. The staff is always happy to help with that. I love the ambiance here, especially the good lighting and spacious dining area--it's always a comfortable, relaxed setting. I've come for happy hour a few times, and I'm always able to get a seat without a wait, even when I go at 12 PM as a party of two. The hand roll trio is my absolute favorite, and we always order it. The California roll is especially fresh and delicious--definitely the highlight of the trio. We also like to share an eel roll, a solid classic that never disappoints. Overall, the food is consistently good and fresh, and I always leave satisfied. However, I can't give 5 stars due to a few past experiences with service. There was one server who was not very polite to us on multiple occasions, which left a bit of a bad taste. Thankfully, the other servers have always been pleasant, so I've continued to come back. If you're looking for great sushi in Bellevue with good parking, great ambiance, and reliable quality, this is the place to go!

Don't sleep on this sushi spot located in the mall! I was in town to help some coworkers for an event and I requested some Seattle sushi and they delivered! I ordered their signature gin cocktail to start and really enjoyed how refreshing it was! The purple color was so stunning. I also ordered some yellowtail sashimi and a roll, though I forget which one it was. The yellowtail was some of the best I've ever had. The roll I had was also very good! They also gave us miso soup to start, and that was also delicious! Our server was great and we told him that we had to leave soon because we had an event to get to. And he made sure to get us our check in a timely manner which we super appreciated. If I lived in Seattle, this would definitely be a spot I frequent. Highly recommend.

As far as sushi places go, I would personally rank this in the mid maybe even lower tier however sushi is still yummy. It's really close to the Din Tai Fung that my friend and I were originally going to go to but unfortunately it was busy so we came here. I did really like the ambiance though and the servers were nice so no complaints.

I was hesitant to review this place because my friends gave mixed reviews, but I honestly really liked the sushi here! I thought that the fish was really high-quality and the happy hour menu deals were really good :) the service was attentive, but maybe a little too much lol- towards the end, our server stood next to our table and watched us finish the food before clearing the table there's a free parking lot provided by Bellevue Square, Mall across the street

Japonessa is always a good time! RSVP available online but make sure you check location (there is a Seattle and Bellevue)! The Bellevue location is inside Lincoln Square, and you can park in the garage under the building (which is different than the mall parking) Karaage is fantastic and you can't go wrong with any of the rolls! I recommend getting the ones without tempura so none of the naturally delicious flavors are overpowered by the breading! Total for 4 adults and 1 child was just over $200 Service kept water filled and our bellies happy!

We visited for dinner on Monday, after the Snowflake Lane Xmas parade, with a party of 6 adults and 4 small children, and it was a very nice experience. We had to wait a few minutes for our reserved table, it was very busy. We sat down and the waiter arrived and took drink orders. The Lychee Martini and Margarita were refreshing. We ordered a bit of everything; Tuna Tataki, Salmon Sampler, Belly Sampler, Edamame, Miso Soup, Garlic Short Ribs, Chicken Karaage, Stuffed Jalapenos, Tempura Brie, Rolls: Ultimate Dragon, Love Hunter, Sweet Kiss, Diabla Say and Skin on Skin. Everything was very fresh and well prepared. For dessert we had the Chocolate Torte, Brownie, Cheesecake, and a Caffe Martini. All sweet and tasty. The service was very good, although there were a couple of delays in getting a few dishes for the kids. The waiter was friendly and professional. Overall, an excellent place for Japanese fare.
